I am lover of all things food but my most favourite type of food is meat.I love meat in all shapes and forms from your "low class"
tribe to you "high class"
rack of lamb. There is just something meat does to my palate that I can't explain but enjoy the feeling and taste of. I like my meat fried,grilled,boiled braaid,slow cooked,smoked or any other way as long as it is juicy and tender.
If you are a meat lover like me you need to make sure that you are at the
Hantam Vleisfees also known as the
Meat Festival. It will be held at
Calvinia in the
Great Karoo which is 400km away from Cape Town. This great event will be held from the 30th to the 31st August 2013. Now this place is famous for it's sheep. So the farmers from around the area will offer different cuts of the sheep. These will than be cooked into beautiful mouth watering
lamb chops, sosaties, poetjies, and for the brave and adventurous the
smiley ( roasted sheep head) and many more.
mmmhh #drooling# nice staff again, i am so looking forward this date and plus too its just around the 1st of september which going to be a very busy time of the month so yeap i am for meat around those days
